Sponsorship
The average cost of supporting a child at Pendhe Children’s Home – giving them nutritious food, emotional support and education – is £50/US$60 per month with the cost rising as they go through the education system.
We aim to support children in our care from when they are very young to the time they can achieve independence following matriculation and begin their adult life.
Every child has different needs, some more complex than others, and we seek to give everyone an opportunity to be the best they can be and attain their goals, while understanding the value of compassion and friendship. Sponsoring a child gives the sponsor a connection with our work and an insight into another culture.
Cultural Exchange
At Pendhe Care Centre we believe in fostering closer links between communities across the world to improve understanding of our different cultures and backgrounds.
We seek to link the children in the home with schools and children’s groups outside Nepal. This could include penpals, video conferencing, sharing art and poetry.
Children at Pendhe love to know about the wider world and share their passions, exploring our common humanity and all its diversity.
